श्रावण २५, काठमाडौं । एउटा वडामा एउटा पार्कको नीति अनुसार काठमाडौँ महानगरपालिका अघि बढेको प्रमुख विद्यासुन्दर शाक्यले बताएका छन् ।
वडा नम्बर–५ को हाँडीगाउँमा आज नरबुद्धपार्कको शिलान्यास कार्यक्रममा सम्वोधन गर्ने सिलसिलामा प्रमुख शाक्यले यस्तो बताए । ‘कठमाडौँ महानगरपालिकाले एक वडा एक पार्कको नीति लिएको छ,’ शाक्यले भने, ‘नरबुद्ध पार्कको शिलान्यास त्यहि नीति अनुरुप नै हो ।’
काठमाडौँ महानगरपालिकाले अहिलेसम्म साना–ठूला गरी करीब ७० वटा पार्क निर्माणको काम अघि बढाएको प्रमुख शाक्यले बताएका छन् । ‘काठमाडौँ महानगरपालिकाले सार्वजनिक जग्गाको संरक्षण गर्दै पार्क निर्माणको अभियानलाई प्राथमिकतामा राखेको छ,’ शाक्यले भने, ‘अहिलेसम्म करीब ७० वटा पार्क निर्माणको काम अघि बढेको छ । कुनै ठूला वडा छन्, कुनै साना वडा छन् कुनै सार्वजनिक जग्गा नभएका वडा पनि छन् । सार्वजनिक जग्गा धेरै भएका वडा पनि छन् । कुनै वडामा १०–१२ वटा पार्क पनि बनेका छन् । कुनै वडामा एउटा मात्रै भए पनि बनेको छ ।’
उनले पार्क निर्माणको अभियानलाई प्राथमिकतामा राखेको स्मरण गराए । ‘पार्क निर्माणसँगै हामीले सम्पदा निर्माण, पुननिर्माणको अभियानलाई पनि प्राथमिकतामा राखेको छौँ,’ उनले भने, ‘बनाउने जिम्मा हामी लिन्छौँ, त्यसको व्यवस्थापन स्थानीयले गर्ने हो । हामी काठमाडौँ महानगरलाई सुन्दर बनाउने अभियानमा छौँ ।’
